Labor & Employment Shareholder

Location: Kansas City or St Louis Missouri
Practice Area: Labor & Employment Law

Position Overview

We are seeking a Labor & Employment Shareholder to lead and expand our clients thriving labor and employment practice. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business and have extensive experience advising employers on a broad range of workplace matters including employment litigation labor relations and compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow the labor & employment practice including strategic client development.
  • Advise clients on complex employment law issues including discrimination wrongful termination wage and hour compliance and restrictive covenants.
  • Represent employers in federal and state courts arbitration proceedings and before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and NLRB.
  • Conduct workplace training sessions on compliance with labor laws harassment prevention and best employment practices.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to drive business development initiatives and mentor junior attorneys.
Required Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in labor & employment law with a track record of handling both litigation and advisory matters.
  • Strong portable book of business $500K preferred).
  • Admitted to practice in Missouri and in good standing.
  • Exceptional legal writing negotiation and trial advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a highvolume practice and mentor a team of attorneys.
