Job Description
Hi were Oscar. Were hiring an Associate Social Media to join our Communications team.
Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselvesone that behaves like a doctor in the family.
About the role
As an Associate Social Media you will play a pivotal role in crafting and managing Oscars narrative across various owned channels including website blog and social media. You will be responsible for developing highquality journalistic content including longform features and shortform visual and video content to enhance Oscars brand presence. You will manage the daytoday operations of Oscars social media presence on platforms such as LinkedIn Instagram and X as well as explore emerging channels. This position will collaborate with crossfunctional teams including marketing public relations and product teams to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with brand standards.
You will report to the Associate Director Owned Media.

Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone regardless of work type or location feels connected to their teammates our culture and our mission.
If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square) our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr) or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey) you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise this is a remote / workfromhome role.

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role in the states of California Connecticut New Jersey New York and Washington is: $93600 $122850 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $84240 $110565 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits participation in Oscars unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of communication plans and strategies to promote Oscars initiatives and lines of business.
- Create highquality journalistic content including longform features and shortform visual and video content for various channels including blog social media and website.
- Oversee the daytoday operations of Oscars social media presence on platforms such as LinkedIn Instagram and X while also identifying and cultivating opportunities on emerging channels to enhance Oscars digital reach.
- Foster and maintain active engagement within Oscars online communities by initiating and participating in conversations responding to inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Partner with Oscars Brand team to develop compelling visual assets that enhance storytelling and social media posts ensuring consistency with brand standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends best practices and emerging technologies in social media and digital marketing; integrate new tools and platforms as appropriate.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Communications Marketing Public Relations Journalism or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in communications PR social media management or digital marketing.
Bonus Points
