Your Profile as an Off Highway Mechanic
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to write English.
- 2 years previous mechanical experience.
- Basic math and equipment measurement skills in English and intermediate computer skills (order parts in ERP system) required.
- Technical or vocational school or 2 years mechanical product experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hand or pneumatic tools; forklift or pallet jack experience.
- Previous lean manufacturing experience preferred.
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 6 hours per 10 hour day walk up to 2 miles per day handle or feel objects and/or tools; operate power tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; bend verbally communicate; and hear safety indicators. The associate must frequently and repetitively lift and /or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to focus.

- Performdisassembly inspection and cleaning of parts
- Complete reassembly of gearboxes including implementing product updates.
- Inspectand reportfailure analysis of product and parts.
- Reworkparts as required (machining drilling etc.
- Test gearboxes to ensure functionality.
- Troubleshoot/Diagnose test bench rejects.
- Workindependently and may have limited travel locally to customer locations.
- Performrelated tasks as assigned.
