Materials Handler Structural Steel
Location: Leeds
Hours: Rotating three shift pattern
Pay Rate: 13 DOE
I am recruiting an experiencedMaterials Handlers to join my industry leading client at a structural steel manufacturing company based in Leed. This is a fantastic fulltime permanent opportunity that offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to build a career with a wellestablished respected buisness.
Your Responsibilities as a Materials Handler:
- Safely off loading sorting and storing all materials according to production schedules.
- Using appropriate lifting and slinging techniques to ensure safe handling of materials.
- Transporting materials across the site while strictly adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Ensuring steels are available for the production in the correct order
- Physically demanding work you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
What Were Looking For:
- Prior experience in a materials handling or similar industrial role.
- Great knowledge of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience with lifting equipment / Slinger Banksman / Sideloader or Shunter an advantage
- A positive proactive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Experience with operating overhead cranes
