SUMMARY SCOPE OF ROLE Responsible for setting up maintaining and breaking down the breakfast buffet and for maintaining the breakfast dining area. With minimal supervision provide exceptional guest service by welcoming the guests ensuring their orders are correct and keeping the breakfast area well attended to at all times. MINIMUM EDUCATION/RELEVANT WORK QUALIFICATIONS High school or equivalent education required. One to two years of experience in a similar role preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Distribute ordered breakfasts address any order discrepancies in a friendly guest first manor. Clean tables and counter area. Must know about the entire property services hours of operation and local points of interest etc.
- Understand menu preparation pronunciation and food standards to effectively communicate to customers. Be responsible for handling of all food equipment and service items to local health requirements. Ensure that all slips spills and breakage are attended to immediately.
- Prepare and consistently maintain dining area and supplies in a guest ready atmosphere. Responsible for stocking machines and dispensers; ensure breakfast items are continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner; set out and arrange cold food.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Able to work with PointofSale software. Generate kitchen order tickets add modifiers or remarks. Able to make settlements in case of paid breakfasts.
- Assist in moving any tables and chairs as assigned.
- Solve guest issues with professionalism while maintaining a hospitable attitude. Inform supervisor of any problems or complaints and assist the guests in accordance to the standards of operation.
- Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment (i.e. china glass silverware items and props) ensuring proper storage after use.
- Assist with closing duties including storage of all reusable goods. Clean all equipment and areas. Restock all supplies. Maintain inventory of all breakfast products.
KEYS TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE
- Requires good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of table service standards.
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
- Ability to describe all menu items and methods of preparation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Breakfast Attendant directly reports to the Front Office Manager and the Events Manager and has limited scope of supervisory responsibilities based on function of position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. clearly verbally communicate with employees and public speak hear see read write type dial reach and bend.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
- Must be able to stand and exert wellpaced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
- Must be able to exert wellpaced ability in limited space.
- Must be able to bend stoop squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Must be able to exert wellpaced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. frequently.
- Requires grasping writing standing sitting walking repetitive motions climbing listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests supervisors and other associates.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

- All associates must maintain a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance per IDM standards.
