Job Description
Brown Distributing Company is a leading beverage distributor throughout the state of Virginia. Since 1919 Brown Distributing has grown into a beverage distribution business with combined sales of over 3 million cases annually and serving in excess of 3000 retailers with over 200 employees.
We are seeking a careerminded Part Time Summer Warehouse Intern to join our 2nd Shift and support the Operations Team in Richmond VA!
Timeframe:
Approximately MayAugust
Schedule:
Monday Wednesday & Thursday 12:30pm9pm
Average is 2530 hours per week
Compensation:
$20/hour
Responsibilities:
- Utilize voice pick software to find and pull the correct items
- Stack items in ties ensuring minimal breakage
- Maneuver pallets with electric pallet jack to wrapping area
- Aid warehouse team in 5S operations ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- Work with PM Supervisor for warehouse pick enhancements / product relocations which aid the pick team
- Work effectively with team members to foster family environment
- Perform any and all other duties
Qualifications:
- Understanding of product stacking techniques
All final applicants will be required to comply and pass all drug background and driving checks.
