Job Description
The Principal Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in electrical design for Surbana Jurong in the Middle East region. They play a critical role in leading the MEP design team ensuring successful project and delivering highquality electrical designs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage the MEP design team providing guidance support and mentorship to team members.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the teams performance and achieve business objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders clients and project managers to define project requirements and deliverables.
Project Planning and :
- Oversee the planning and monitoring of MEP design projects ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex electrical design issues.
- Review and approve electrical design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP designs into overall project deliverables.
Technical Leadership and Expertise:
- Stay updated with industry trends regulations and best practices related to electrical design.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team sharing expertise and promoting professional development.
- Identify and implement innovative electrical design solutions to optimize project performance and efficiency.
- Support business development activities by participating in client presentations proposal preparation and technical discussions.
Required Qualifications:
- BEng(Hons) degree in Mechanical Electrical or relevant Engineering discipline.
- 20 years experience with minimum 2 years in a similar role
- Member of Appropriate Professional Institution (MCIBSE or MASHRAE etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MSC degree in Mechanical Electrical or relevant Engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE)
