Job Description

Job Summary:
The Lead Toddler Teacher at The Goddard School in Hastings On Hudson will be responsible for managing the daily operations and curriculum for the toddler classroom. This is a full time hourly position in the early childhood field within the franchise industry. As a management role the Lead Toddler Teacher will oversee a team of assistants and floaters and work closely with parents and other staff members to provide a safe nurturing and educational environment for the children.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $20 to $21 per hour. The Goddard School offers a competitive salary and benefits package including health insurance paid time off and opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for toddleraged children
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students following all state licensing regulations and Goddard School policies and procedures
Supervise and mentor assistant teachers providing guidance and support in their professional development
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents keeping them informed of their childs progress and addressing any concerns or questions
Maintain accurate and uptodate records including attendance and progress reports
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and welcoming school community
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
Adhere to all health and safety protocols including proper sanitation and hygiene practices

Requirements:
Minimum of a CDA or an associates in Early Childhood Education or a related field
At least two years of experience working with toddlers in a classroom setting
Knowledge of child development theories and best practices for early childhood education
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with parents and staff members
Ability to create and implement engaging and ageappropriate lesson plans and activities
Familiarity with state licensing regulations and Goddard School policies and procedures
Willingness to undergo a background check and obtain required clearances
