As an Assistant General Counsel Vice President in the legal department supporting the firms Payments business youwillprovide legal support and advice to the Global Trade and Working Capital business (within the wider Payments business) in its subverticals of export agency finance structured working capital supply chain finance and core trade across all EMEA jurisdictionsin particular working with leading Export Credit Agencies and multilateral agencies to provide export finance solutions to corporations and governmental institutions worldwide.
Job responsibilities
- providing primary productaligned legal support and advice to the businesses on a wide range of productspecific queries transactions and nontransactional matters relating to export finance as well as other trade & working capital facilities and services and Payments products;
- reviewing negotiating drafting and finalising contracts with the Banks customers partner banks and export agencies;
- contributing to projects that improve operational processes to increase the efficiency and scalability of legal support;
- liaising and coordinating with local regional and global legal counterparts and functional partners on legal issues; and
- instructing andworking withoutside counsel.
Required qualifications skills and capabilities
- Qualifiedlawyer from a common law jurisdiction or an EU member state with 5 years of postqualification legal experience;
- Strong drafting negotiation and legal analytical skills;
Preferred qualifications skills and capabilities
- Experience supporting export agency financings across different industries such as aviation infrastructure and project finance deals and associated documentation;
- Experience in trade finance (including letters of credit / demand guarantees) and receivables financing;
- Experience working with business and control functions stakeholders across geographies;
