Job Description

Special Educator Rutland City Public Schools is seeking a special educator to provide direct instruction case management and support to students eligible for special education. The successful candidates will have experience working with adolescents with academic behavioral and developmental challenges. The applicant must be able to work collaboratively as part of a studentcentered team and have knowledge of special education procedures. Applicants must have earned a bachelors degree and hold a VT license in special education or be willing to work toward certification.Rutland is a unique community in both its location and spirit offering people all the amenities of a city minutes away from the heart of the Green Mountains. We are only fifteen minutes from the Appalachian and Long Trail twenty minutes from Killington Ski Resort and in close proximity to many other recreational opportunities. Rutland Middle School takes advantage of our amazing location by offering a sixweek Lifelong Sports program for students and educators to get out into our community and learn a new sport including downhill skiing crosscountry skiing curling skating and more!
