  • Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a dynamic innovative and studentcentered Middle School Science/STEM Teacher for theschool year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring curiosity and creativity in students while teaching core science concepts alongside handson STEM curriculum that includes robotics coding and design thinking. This position requires a teacher who can build meaningful relationships with students integrate faith and reason and support our mission to nurture hearts inspire minds and ignite spirits.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan teach and assess middle school science classes aligned with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards).
    • Develop and lead engaging STEM curriculum that includes:
      • Robotics using platforms such as VEX Robotics
      • Coding with tools such as Scratch Python or blockbased programming
      • Design thinking and engineering challenges that encourage innovation and collaboration
    • Differentiate instruction to support a diverse range of learners.
    • Integrate technology and projectbased learning into the classroom.
    • Collaborate with colleagues in crosscurricular projects especially within the middle school team.
    • Supervise and facilitate student participation in STEM clubs competitions or afterschool programs (optional).
    • Maintain open and timely communication with students parents and staff.
    • Participate in schoolwide events and professional development.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Science Education STEM or related field (Masters preferred)
    • Valid Washington State teaching certificate (or ability to obtain)
    • Experience teaching middle school students in a science and/or STEM setting
    • Proficiency in STEM tools and technologies (e.g. robotics kits 3D printing coding platforms)
    • Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Our Lady of the Lake
      Strong classroom management organizational and communication skills

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with projectbased and inquirybased learning
    • Familiarity with design thinking approach
    • Passion for innovation creativity and collaborative problemsolving
    • Willingness to contribute to the broader school community through extracurriculars

    Salary: The salary range for this position is $45000 $86000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.
