You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe U.S. Department of Energys Office of Environmental Management (DOEEM) offers internships to help develop our future workforce in critically important areas of science engineering technology and mathematics (STEM). DOEEM summer internships take place at selected DOE national laboratories. Interns will complete research projects that are relevant to EMs ongoing mission. Students will also be involved in enrichment activities provided by the host laboratory.
Minimum Requirements:
Accepted application with the DOEEM
Seeking Degree in: Science Technology Engineering Mathematics or closely related fields
Have the ability to pass a background check
Possess a minimum overall 3.0 Grade Point Average
Possess authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits:
Undergraduate Internships $26.16/hour $31.47/hour)
Masters Internships and PhD Internships PreCandidacy $32.87/hour $35.26/hour)
PhD Internships PostCandidacy $35.95/hour $38.41/hour)
Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.

INL is a sciencebased applied engineering national laboratory dedicated to supporting the U.S. Department of Energys mission in nuclear energy research science and national defense. With more than 6200 scientists researchers and support staff the laboratory works with national and international governments universities and industry partners to discover new science and development technologies that underpin the nations nuclear and renewable energy national security and environmental missions.
INL hosts nearly 700 undergraduate and graduate students each year to support INLs mission. Opportunities for interns at INL range from nuclear engineering to cybersecurity and include nonscientific positions in several operations and business subject areas.
