Job Description

The Client
This is a small team of just under 10 staff who would like to take on a junior to intermediate accountant in their business services & tax team. This is an opportunity to work closely with the partner and to get exposure to all aspects of accounting. Our client can offer a hybrid working culture and strong technology to get you up to speed fast.
The Role
Work closely with the senior staff and support them with a portfolio of clients in various industries. The team is supportive and engaging and you will be able to progress further after coming in and proving yourself in the organisation.
Duties may involve:
- Support with the completion/ review of statutory compliance work including the following:
- Financial Statements
- Income tax returns and schedules
- Company secretarial requirements
- Business Activity Statements
- Assist with the development of solutions and providing advice
- Analyse clients performance for yearend tax planning
- Review and prepare management accounts
The Applicant
- 1.5 years local experience in Business Services & Tax
- University degree in Accounting Finance Commerce or related fields
- CA/CPA qualification or in the process of attaining
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
- Xero experience is an advantage for this role
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
