Job Description Summary:
As a Mammography Technologist at Logan Health youll be at the forefront of womens health providing vital diagnostic imaging services. Youll play a crucial role in patient care ensuring comfort and accuracy while utilizing stateoftheart technology. Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiological Technology required.
- Current ARRT certification required.
- Mammography certification preferred or must be successfully obtained within six 6 months of hire.
- Valid Montana State Radiologic Technologist license required.
- BLS required.
- To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position:
- Current Drivers License required.
- Driving record for the previous thirtysix 36 months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle suspended license three 3 or more speeding tickets or other moving violations etc..
- In addition personal vehicles used for LH business:
- State law minimum liability coverage limits required.
- To be eligible for the breast sonography portion of the position: certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
- Minimum of one 1 year experience as mammography technologist preferred.
- Minimum of one 1 year work experience in one 1 of the following specialty areas preferred:
- Quality control
- Breast sonography
- Stereotactic biopsies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills detailoriented a selfstarter possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Job Specific Duties:
- Properly identifies and prepares patient for exam. Explains exam and strives to ensure patient comfort.
- Maintains safe secure and healthy work environments by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
- Obtains meaningful history of scheduled procedure and other exam related information. Documents patients mammography related visit by completing accurate patient record charting.
- Processes images and prepares cases for Radiologist review. Completes appropriate documentation per department protocol.
- Ensures the patient understands the results and available options as defined by the Radiologist.
- Performs arrival end of day and next day preparation duties per department procedure and protocol as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Assists in the review of current procedure manual and/or protocols for procedures performed within the department. Assists leadership and appropriate stakeholders in preparing for ACR and FDA accreditation.
- Assists with daily departmental upkeep including but not limited to; housekeeping stocking inventory control etc.
- Participates in mammography related educational opportunities reviews professional publications and/or participates in professional organizations.
