Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences FDU SoP&HS) seeks applicants for tenuretrack Faculty within the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences. FDU SoP&HS mission is to create a valuesbased studentcentered learning experience that prepares graduates who are committed to improving the health of individuals and populations through leadership roles in pharmacy practice healthcare research and related healthcare fields. FDU SoP&HS is located in Northern New Jersey. The School offers an integrated 4year Pharm.D. curriculum. Further a concurrent Masters degree program is available to qualified pharmacy students. This is a tenuretrack 12months appointment at a rank of assistant or associate professor. The faculty member will be responsible for development and delivery of curriculum in pharmaceutical sciences and should have ongoing commitment to active learning using educational technology tools and other means. Faculty member will develop a research agenda within the discipline involving pharmacy graduate and/or undergraduate students. Service on School College and/or University committees will also be required. A diverse skill set is highly desirable. Required Qualifications
Education training experience: A Ph.D. degree is required. The ideal candidate will have a professional degree in pharmacy as well. Faculty candidates specializing in pharmaceutics pharmacology or other pharmaceutical sciencerelated disciplines are encouraged to apply. Teaching and research records will qualify the faculty candidate for the rank of assistant or associate professor. Demonstrated experience and ability to adapt teaching to various learning styles and levels of learners are highly desirable. Successful applicants will: 1. Be appropriately credentialed within their discipline; 2. Show a desire to participate in expanding new educational platforms including integration of technology and active learning; 3. Be prepared to develop an advanced curriculum which integrates the Doctor of Pharmacy degree with dual masters programs; 4. Have a vision for the future of pharmacy education as a global enterprise; 5. Develop a personal philosophy and program of teaching research and service focused on enriching students and enhancing the profession. 6. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates considered for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
