Designation ManagerSeeds Production
Experience Required 8 to 10 Years
Location: Meerut UP
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Contract Farming Operations:
- Identify and engage with farmers for contract farming agreements ensuring alignment with organizational production targets and quality standards.
- Develop and execute plans for seed production including acreage allocation farmer selection and sowing schedules.
- Ensure timely availability of seeds fertilizers and other inputs to contracted farmers.
2. Farmer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers addressing their concerns and providing guidance to improve productivity.
- Conduct training sessions for farmers on seed production techniques quality requirements and best agronomic practices.
- Act as the key point of contact between the organization and contracted farmers.
3. Quality Assurance and Monitoring:
- Monitor crop growth health and quality throughout the production cycle ensuring adherence to company quality standards.
- Conduct field visits to inspect farms identify issues and provide technical solutions for pest control disease management and other challenges.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure seeds meet required specifications before harvest.
4. Harvest and Procurement Management:
- Plan and oversee the harvest process ensuring timely collection of seeds from contracted farms.
- Ensure proper handling storage and transportation of seeds to maintain quality during postharvest operations.
5. Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Prepare budgets for contract farming operations and ensure costs are within approved limits.
- Negotiate contracts with farmers and manage financial settlements in a timely and transparent manner.
6. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all farming activities comply with regulatory and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of farmer agreements field inspections production data and compliance reports.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress and performance of contract farming operation
Must haves
1 Candidate Must be from agri background (Msc/Phd/MBA)
2 Must have exposure of handling8 to 10 person team
3 Good in Analytics
4 Strong communication skill
