Job Description
Position:2025 Summer Explorations Program High School Assistants
Location:Hosmer Elementary School in Watertown MA
Dates:July 7 2025 August 15 2025 (Mandatory orientation meeting June 10 2025 from 6:30 pm 7:30 pm)
Schedule:Various shifts available: Morning Shifts 8:15 AM 12:45 PM Afternoon Shifts 12:30 PM 5:45 PM and FullDay Shifts 8:15 AM 5:45 PM
Pay Rate:$17.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to one or more groups in preparing materials for activities setting up/cleaning up activities and assisting lead instructors as needed.
- Provide supervision to students ranging in age/grade from kindergarten through grade 5.
- Must maintain daily attendance records including accurate student counts following nametoface attendance taking protocols.
- The High School Asssistant may also be assigned other duties by the Site Coordinator or Community Education Director or Assistant Director.
Professional Commitment:
The High School Assistant is required to fulfill the shifts they have committed to. Staff who are not able to commit to regular weekly shifts may be offered positions in a substitute capacity with shifts and assignments that may vary from week to week.
Qualifications:
- 6 months of experience working with schoolage children preferred
