We have a need for a Senior Infrastructure Architect to join our team! The Sr Infrastructre Architect performs intermediate engineering assignments associated with the configuration of computer systems and related phases of company products or projects which contribute to meeting design specifictations.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Designs and integrates computer system configurations in accordance with design criteria security and performance objectives for defined systems.
- Responsible for implementation of system design within project schedule.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Perform complex intermediate to advanced functional tests of computer systems.
- Manage thirdparty software requirements for GEs core products and knowledge of how to install and configure the required thirdparty software.
- Own thirdparty software configuration and network topology and configuration needed to comply with appropriate security standards.
- Network equipment configuration needed for proper functioning of GE Vernova core products thirdparty software and the systems on which they reside.
- Main equipment vendors system specifications and configuration needed for the GE Vernova core products and thirdparty software residing on the systems.
- Perform system design and resolve implementation issues with lead engineer; implements the design within the allowed schedule with general supervision.
- Integrates computer & network hardware operating system software and thirdparty software. Helps configure network device functionality.
- Support a secure system lifecycle with system installation configuration and patching in adherence with given security standards.
- Prepare system documentation such as hardware design drawings plans of system setups cabling lists project specific drawings and configuration reference manuals.
- Provide input to technical lead on schedules and cost estimates.
- Interfaces with customers on specific projects or technical issues.
- Provide limited marketing support for proposals and demonstrations to potential customers.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- May be required to work extended hours.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience
- Two 2 years experience with system infrastructure design and integration experience in comparable systems.
- Strong experience with system integration/design networking operating system / software installation and maintenance help desk and/or data storage technology specifically with Linux Kubernetes (Rancher RKE) Windows & VMware systems.
Desired Characteristics:
- Cisco switch and firewall configuration is an asset
- Strong experience with system integration/design networking operating system / software installation and maintenance and data storage technology specifically with Linux Kubernetes (Rancher RKE) Windows & VMware systems
- Capable of hardware installation and configuration. Racking Cabling and verifying correct operation.
- Knowledge of: Oracle Database PostgreSQL SQL Server Visual Studio git Active Directory and NetApp arrays is an asset.
- Networking knowledge using TCP/IP protocols.
- Good PC skills required including use of standard MS Office & Visio applications.
- Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to write professional and technical reports and procedures.
- Ability to make informal presentations to technical and nontechnical staff and customers.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.
- Ability to work independently and be selfmotivated.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
- Ability to occasionally work nonstandard hours to accommodate business needs.
- Walking filing of documents in upright file cabinets and moving of heavy equipment and storage boxes is a regular activity within job scope.
- Travel (via car or airline) to US or international locations. Having a drivers license is recommended. International travel will require a valid Passport.

The base salary range for this position is 100000..00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience their education and the work location. In addition this position is eligible for a variable incentive compensation bonus. This posting is expected to close on April 30 2025.
