Job Description
Falk College seeks a parttime instructor to teach SWK 735 Section M001 Principles and Methods of Social Work Practice with Black Families 3 credits) in the Spring 2025 1/6/20255/11/2025 semester. Course Description:Principles and methods in working with black families. Practice interventions are examined within a cultural context. Attention will be given to the historical underpinnings that have molded the black experience in America. Class meets: Monday 6:45 p.m. 9:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
Developing and/or updating a class syllabus. Preparation of lectures projects or other student assignments. Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course. Meeting all designated class periods. Submitting completed midsemester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations. Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner. Completion and submission of CSWE competencybased student outcomes for department assessment/accreditation. Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations. Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
Qualifications
An MSW with previous graduatelevel social work teaching experience is preferred. Candidate must have 2 years postmasters experience.
