Job Description
Our clientaworld leader in diagnostics and life sciences is looking for aBiospecimenAssociate Ibased out ofTucson AZ.
Job Duration:Long TermContract(Possibility Of Extension)
Pay Rate: $20/hr on W2
Performs sampleaccessioning in CDx CAP/CLIA Laboratory. Follows standard procedures inperforming the tasks knowledgeable with CAP CLIA and other accrediting andregulatory agency requirements in laboratory practice and utilizes gooddocumentation practices and following laboratory safety policies. Leads one ormore process improvement work streams within the BioSample ManagementGroup as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains Tissue Bankinventory including filing incoming shipments of tissue blocks pulling themfor requests and returningthem to their proper location after their use.
- Organizes Tissue Bank sample cabinets and ensures accurate and consistentlabeling of tissues/slides.
- Performs labeling of samples and quality control check of labeling archivingsamples and all sample management activities.
- Assists with internal requests including global shipments of samples whilemaintaining an accurate chain of custody.
