JOB SUMMARY: The Meter Technician is responsible for performing meter installations troubleshooting and meter reading functions at client locations and communities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepares and gathers handheld meter reads.
- Performs installation of meters and other general field work.
- Coordinates and completes maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Maintains work orders and coordinates work order activities schedule appointments and coordinates related work order follow up.
- Completes purchasing functions.
- Maintains and monitors inventory and completes related monthly reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in technical or trade discipline is preferred.
- One 1 to two 2 years of prior maintenance experience in low and highvoltage environments is preferred.
- Ability to travel to and from worksites
- Candidates must possess electrical and utility knowledge and the aptitude to learn metering technology.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The pay range for this position is below. The specific starting rate will depend on the chosen candidates qualifications and prior experience. $20/hour (meeting qualifications) to $23/hour (experienced).
