Leiston Primary School is a 420place school with a busy nursery currently judged by Ofsted as Good. We offer our children a wide range of opportunities and are a supportive and thriving environment working with pupils from a range of backgrounds. We constantly look at ways to develop and extend our practice to support our role as part of the community. We uphold a safeguarding ethos at the very heart of what we do and it forms our decisions on a daybyday basis with the childs voice being a key part of this.
Our ideal candidate will work to ensure that safeguarding across the school is effective and take lead responsibility of safeguarding as well as advising and supporting children families and staff within our school community.
You will:
- be passionate about safeguarding and can work collaboratively with pupils and colleagues
- be a positive and welcoming presence in the school and can work effectively with all stakeholders
- have proven experience in effective safeguarding
- understand the importance of shared culture within a school and know how to promote this for the benefit of all
- be an excellent practitioner
- have high expectations in all areas of school life.
