Job Description
- .High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology required
- Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of imaging coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Hearth Association (AHA) required.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.

Position Summary:
Sovah Danville is seeking a parttime Radiology Technician to perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Review patient history and physicians orders.
- Educate patient regarding procedures equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- When ordered prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Implemented safety standards and performed appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoots resolves and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
- Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Took appropriate action to resolve image quality issues including repositioning the patient and repeating the procedure.
- Enters transmits and reports image results.
