Job Description
Everest Insurance a member of the Everest Re Group Ltd. issearching for an Underwriter to join our Wholesale Property team. This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office 2 remote.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development a profitable book of business within the designated underwriting territory for Everest Wholesale Property reporting to the Regional Head of Wholesale Property. The selected candidate will assist in implementation of a plan for growth in the region while creating brand awareness for Everest. This plan will include goals and objectives for the team as well as for the region.

• Building and underwriting a diverse and profitable book of business

• Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with appointed brokers

• Developing implementing and controlling pricing and a risk selection standard that supports strategic objectives and achieve desired financial goals

• Effectively working with Actuarial Claims Loss Control Operations Finance and Information Technology

• Maintain awareness of competitor capabilities and strategies as well as the overall insurance marketplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in business or related field with insurance designations a plus.

• 4 to 6 years of relevant commercial property underwriting experience with demonstrated skills to support leadership with strategies to support a profitable portfolio.

• Be selfmotivated and independent while maintaining underwriting discipline to achieve strategic objectives.

• Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills

• Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.

• Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards.

• The ability to travel up to 25

Knowledge Skills & Competencies:

• Outstanding interpersonal relationship building with all business functions.

• Strong analytical skills in dissecting risk and portfolio data.

• Excellent sales and negotiating competencies.

For CA only: The base salary range for this position is $85000 $125000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education experience qualifications and work location.
