Position: Chief Financial Officer

Salary:$104000 yearly

Job Type: Fulltime

Schedule:Monday thru Friday 8AM4:30PM with flexibility

Location:Walton New York

Responsibilities: Maintain and increase the Financial Resources to ensure the continuity of services and fulfillment of the mission. Assure the effective operation of all services and supports.

  • Oversee all financial operations of the agency at multi location operations.
  • Lead and manage the Accounting Personnel IT Facilities and Transportation Departments.
  • Assess and evaluate agencys financial performance with respect to goals budgets and forecasts and provide analysis to Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Protect agencys assets by establishing monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
  • Develop financial strategies to ensure cash flow is appropriate for operations.
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
  • Prepare budgets by establishing schedules recommending plans and by collecting analyzing and consolidating financial data.
  • Oversee grant compliance.
  • Ensure agencys compliance with relevant federal state and local laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management or Finance.
  • CPA / MBA strongly preferred.
  • Prior CFO or Finance Officer experience in an association and/or volunteer organization (nonprofit environment).
  • Minimum of 10 years managing finance accounting budgeting control and reporting experience (six years minimum as CFO with a budget with multiple sources of revenue).
  • Knowledge about Office for People with Developmental Disabilities State Education Department and Department of Health strongly preferred.
  • Experience should include legal audit compliance budget and resource development.
  • Experience with CFR reporting.
  • Experience with Form 5500.
  • Wide range indepth financial knowledge of investment accounting financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Outstanding communication (in person and in writing) as well as presentation skills for any audience.
  • Collaborative and transformational organizational leader and team leader for staff.
  • Excellent analytical reasoning time management and problemsolving skills.
