Senior Technical Lead TSSCI with Poly REQUIRED

Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Technical Lead responsible for guiding and overseeing the development and maintenance of web and mobile applications hosted on cloud and containerbased solutions for a Federal Customer. This position requires comprehensive understanding of 3tier applications the ability to design scalable and secure frontend and backend solutions build train and deploy machine learning (ML) models and the capability to lead and mentor a team of developers. The ideal candidate should be proficient in managing the full stack technical lifecycle of applications from planning and design through development deployment and ongoing support. Delivery requires a strong presence in the National Capital Region while working in a hybrid low and highside development environments.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Oversee all development work required to design develop and implement strategic architectural plans for cloud and containerbased web and mobile applications. This includes reporting on progress to Government leads mission stakeholders partners and customers at crossteam collaboration meetings and helping to identify opportunities to increase effectiveness efficiency scale and impact.
Contribute to the design testing and deployment of applications while collaborating with crossfunctional teams to achieve business goals.
Develop and maintain technical strategies to ensure effective application development and integration between new and existing applications.
Oversee all application development work and present overview briefings and updates to Government leads partners and customers. This includes reporting on business area progress at performance improvement meetings as well as helping to identify opportunities for increased effectiveness efficiency scale and impact.
Assist the CGI Program Manager (PM) and Deputy PM (DPM) in distilling applications functional and nonfunctional requirements communicating them to contract staff and tracking progress against them.
Provide a technical need summary to the government program manager and government technical lead giving the client a consolidated roundup across all development efforts with a special focus on areas that need client intervention.
Build and integrate ML solutions such as Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) that accelerate document analysis synthesis and generations based on interaction with GenAI models. This includes ensuring that the ML models are compatible with the systems architecture and can effectively interact with other components of the system on low and high side domains.
Design and implement the infrastructure needed to deploy ML models which includes selecting and integrating appropriate software and hardware platforms creating data pipeline

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelors degree in engineering computer science data science mathematics or similar technical discipline.
10 years Experience leading teams of application developers.
Experience with managed cloud database services such as Amazon RDS to perform full stack 3tier application development tasks such as User Interface (UI) application programming interface (API) data tier development.
Understanding of building new applications and modernizing existing systems to integrate with data polyglots including relational data warehouses inmemory document vector and graph databases.
Deep understanding of IT infrastructure tasks including DevSecOps Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) infrastructure as code (IaC) backup and disaster recovery strategies and implementing both cloudnative and containerbased highly available and scalable solutions.
Understanding of Machine Learning concepts and knowledge of basic ML techniques workflows and algorithms like large language models linear regression object detection and clustering can help in building training and deploying ML models into Production systems.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes clustering orchestration and how to leverage them to automate the deployment scaling and management of containerized microservice applications and architectures.
Understanding of data security and privacy regulations along with knowledge of best practices and regulations like Risk Management Framework (RMF) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) guidance and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 80053 catalog of database security controls.
Experience working with data polyglots including relational NOSQL inmemory and graph databases. This includes migrating and transforming data between these disparate database engines disaster recovery strategies and implement

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for meritbased performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122200.00 $297700.00.
