Harco Fittings LLC founded in 1966 in burg Virginia is a producer of gasketed joint injectionmolded PVC and pushon gasketed joint ductile fittings. Our Harco locations span across seven states in the US and we are looking for new individuals to come be a part of a dynamic and growing team today!
We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Saw Technician. This role is based in our facility in Stevensville MT and reports to the Plant Manager. The hours are Monday Friday from 7am until 3.30pm. The starting rate for this position will be $20.96 per hour.
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic individual who will be using specialized tools to process materials and fittings to a specified angle length or shape.
Principal Responsibilities
- Comfortably operate heavy equipment needed in the fabrication of fittings
- Accurately use measuring tools such as a tape measure
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment while focusing on safety and quality
- Safely operate different types of power tools and saws to cut materials to defined specifications
- Wear proper safety equipment as directed by the safety department and your supervisor
- Exhibit strong multitasking skills and attention to detail
- Follow instructions and ask questions if something is unclear
- Maintain clean work areas; perform daily reset
- Assist in other areas when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred
- Candidate must be able to read write and speak English
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred; plastic experience is an asset
- Must be knowledgeable in measurement systems and basic math
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Must be a selfstarter with good interpersonal written and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn
- Great teammate with a proven track record to contribute to and cultivate a positive work environment
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Working Conditions
- Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking standing for long periods bending and lifting up to a maximum of 70 lbs.
- The use of hand tools
- Fastpaced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required
