Job Description
St. Marys Parish is located in Historic Annapolis Maryland. The parish is seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Lead. Under the general direction of the Facilities Director this position is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds of the parish overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies determining and scheduling repairs or renovation projects and coordinating safety inspections. Journeylevel performance in electrical HVAC carpentry and plumbing is preferred. This is a fulltime benefit eligible position.
Essential Functions:
- Assures the safe operation of the building facility daily.
- Reviews leads and coordinates the activities of building service workers or contractors. Inspects custodial services performed by third party custodial company and communicates special needs.
- Responds to requests from administration and faculty for custodial services during the day.
- Assists in the set up and preparation for special activities.
- Maintains and inventories janitorial and housekeeping supplies.
- Develops and implements scheduled cleanings.
- Performs regular maintenance and upkeep schedule on all equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance and makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
Position Qualifications:
- Ability to selfmotivate manage responsibilities and work independently including strong multitasking and critical thinking skill.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work communicate effectively and maintain good relationships with staff and volunteers.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Some experience with Facilities maintenance with journeylevel performance in plumbing HVAC carpentry and electrical Grounds and General Maintenance preferred.
