Job Description
Summary of Position
Maintain knowledge and understanding of Cath lab equipment and supplies. Operates imaging equipment to obtain quality diagnostic images. Assists the Physician at the table while maintaining a sterile procedure. Provides appropriate patient education regarding the radiology procedure while also identifying patient status and requirements specific to their needs. The technologist ensures that all aspects of patient radiology records are processed and patient history is documented properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner.
Education and Training
- Graduate of an accredited A.M.A. approved program of Radiology Technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist or Registered CardioVascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Valid State of Ohio Radiology Licenses
- BLS required
- ACLS required to work in Cath Lab
Experience
- Minimum of 1 (One) year Radiological Technologist experience required or RCIS
- Experience with Special Procedures Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab preferred
- Experience with sterile procedure technique
