Job Description
- POSITION SUMMARY
-
The ROI Specialist will process and validate Release of Information requests for all types of requestors: patient health care providers insurance companies and attorneys/legal authorities. They are responsible to prepare the protected health information pursuant to the authorization for release and in accordance with the North Dakota Century Code national and HIPAA guidelines. They will also assist patients providers and other requestors with phone fax inperson electronic and mailed requests.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

- Educational Requirements
- Medical Secretarial or Medical Office certificate preferred.

- Experience Requirements
- 1 year experience in healthcare medical billing or insurance field required; 2 years of experience is preferable.
- 1 year experience in healthcare medical billing or insurance field required; 2 years of experience is preferable.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- Medical Terminology and /or Anatomy and Physiology are preferred.
- Individual should have strong interpersonal organizational and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively use active listening asks questions as appropriate and functions as part of a team.
- Must have the ability to accept criticism and be able to deal calmly and effectively with highstress situations.
- Medical Terminology and /or Anatomy and Physiology are preferred.
