Senior Scrum Master

Position Description:

Join this exciting new initiative as a Scrum Master.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Facilitate complex Agile initiatives from initiation through release providing oversight to ensure alignment with Agile/Scrum practices including but not limited to project kickoff sprints release and deployment planning
Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and key results that meet LOB stakeholders needs and expectations. Manage risks to delivery
Facilitate discussion leading to collective decisionmaking goal setting and conflict resolution within the team
Create and maintain the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment
Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues.
Facilitate and engage in business analysis user experience and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes
Provide proactive coaching to the team and recommend continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity driving change and influence with an agile mindset.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

10 years of experience in software development and/or Agile project management or other relevant professional experience
5 years of working on mediumtohigh complexity initiatives Project / Program delivery in Agile using influence to facilitate to outcomes
Ability to apply Agile Management Framework and Agile techniques
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
Certified Scrum Master and/or SAFe Certified
Familiarity with will be a nice to have

The Scrum Master applies facilitation strategies to ensure that the team Squad Leader and stakeholders are engaged and accomplish the goal of each scrum event.
The Scrum Master ensures that Squad level measurements are understood are transparent and is used to identify improvement opportunities.
The Scrum Master addresses impediment removal daily ensuring that the team identifies a strategy for each impediment and holds the team accountable for executing the strategy.
The Scrum Master exhibits curiosity in the product and guides the team in the Definition of Ready Definition of Done Team Working Agreement breakdown of work and increasing the value of delivery.
The Scrum Master proactively seeks coaching opportunities for the squad and for themselves.
