Job Summary
This position support Campus Operations in Monthly/Yearly Preventive monthly work orders manages the trash switching of cans for housing buildings and other tasks assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Switching out compactor cans at housing buildings.
  • Completes monthly preventive work orders
  • Cleans compactor rooms weekly
  • Window cleaning on campus
  • Cleaning work spaces (computer monitors phones); dusting/cleaning blinds; washing windows (internal and external); washing trash receptacles; cleaning vents ducts lights and overhead items; attending training meetings; complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  • To fill in for fulltime Custodian II during absence due to illness or vacation
  • Communicate any facility deficiencies to appropriate Facilities and Plant Operations (FPO) personnel.
  • Follow oral and written instructions regarding safety administrative and cleaning matters.
  • Listen to and collect information from customers when approached and work with them to meet their needs within scope of responsibility.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years related experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 poundsoccasionally
