KBR is seeking a Cross Domain Solutions Architect to join our team. This is a primarily remote position however the candidate must reside in either the DC/MD/VA area and be able to go into the Mark Center Alexandria VA during the week for meetings and some work on an adhoc and sometimes immediate basis. Candidates in the Las Vegas area will also be considered.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate for the Joint Mission Environment Testing Capability (JMETC) Cross Domain Solutions Architect position will be part of the KBR Cybersecurity team supporting the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) in the development of new test and evaluation capabilities and specifically providing TRMC Cybersecurity expertise. This position will be a part of a distributed cybersecurity team. This member will provide solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of senior expertise and creativity. This member will be an experienced and skilled professional in designing and implementing crossdomain solutions (CDS) that enable secure and seamless communication between different domains systems and applications. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of crossdomain technologies security protocols and software development principles. They will be responsible for analyzing requirements designing and implementing solutions and ensuring the security and integrity of data exchanged between domains. The ideal candidate has a diverse technical background in cybersecurity network protection software development and cross domain technology and must have strong experience of successfully collaborating within highperforming teams with multiple stakeholders. You will directly interface with DoD civilians and contractors to provide Cross Domain support to the JMETC Secret Network and other networks. You will lead efforts to maintain and develop Enterprise approved Cross Domain Solutions. Come join a team that is building the T&E range of the future!
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation:Design and architect scalable secure and reliable crossdomain solutions that integrate multiple systems applications and data sources. Ensure CDS meet requirements are aligned with industry standards and best practices and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Requirements Analysis:Analyze customer requirements and identify the need for crossdomain solutions. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organizations overall technology landscape and identify opportunities for crossdomain integration and optimization.
- Security:Ensure the security and integrity of data exchanged between domains adhering to relevant security protocols and standards.
- System Integration:Integrate crossdomain solutions with existing systems applications and infrastructure.
- Testing and Validation:Test and validate crossdomain solutions to ensure they meet requirements and function as expected.
- Collaboration:Collaborate with stakeholders including customers developers and security teams to ensure successful implementation and operation of crossdomain solutions.
- Documentation:Create and maintain documentation for crossdomain solutions including design documents implementation guides standard operating procedures and approval paperwork.
- Troubleshooting:Troubleshoot issues with crossdomain solutions and provide technical support to resolve problems.
Requirements:
- Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field. Advanced degree: A masters degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
- Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing crossdomain solutions with a focus on security and software development.
- Certifications: DOD Security Clearance and must meet DoD 8140 Requirements for a Security Architect position. Preferred certifications are CASP CCSP Cloud CSSLP CISSPISSAP and CISSPISSEP
- Clearance: A minimum of a Secret clearance is required and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with crossdomain technologies including CDS Guards Diodes and others.
- Knowledge of security protocols including TLS SSL and IPsec.
- Knowledge of the DISN Connection Process Guide DoD Cross Domain Solution Approval Process
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity Process and Approval for Special Access Programs (SAPs)
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Cloud:Experience with cloudbased technologies including AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Industry Standards:Familiarity with industry standards including NIST FIPS and others.
