Summary
As a Staff Nurse youll be at the forefront of patient care working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients/residents receive comprehensive support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assess patients physical social spiritual and psychological needs.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families.
- Make referrals to resources as needed.
- Support fellow healthcare professionals.
- Operate within the framework of Providence Health Cares mission vision and values.
What You Bring
Education:
- Current practicing registration as a BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of a post graduate critical care course or one year of recent critical care experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical capability to perform the duties of the position.
- Organizational skills to manage work effectively.
- Proficiency in operating related equipment.

The Heart Centre
The Heart Centre at St. Pauls is BCs only referral centre for the most complex cardiac cases and is a leader in cardiac obstetrics heart rhythm services and heart valve procedures. In addition St. Pauls is the only hospital in BC to perform adult heart transplants and holds expertise in all forms of heart disease.
The Cath lab at St Pauls Hospital is where tests and procedures includingablationangiogramangioplastyand implantation ofpacemakers/ICDsare carried out.
