Interested in helping a foster child
Functional Family Therapy Foster Care (FFTFC) is an evidencebased inhome clinical intervention with a relational focus on the family unit for DCFinvolved children. In addition to clinical treatment FFTFC also offers corresponding case management services with a Family Specialist. Birth Families and Foster Families are the primary unit of intervention. FFTFC is built on the core FFT model; it is completed with the foster family and moves to your working with the birth family when the youth is preparing for reunification and after.
ABOUT THE POSITION:Family Support Specialist
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides high quality clientcentered services to children and their families.
- Demonstrates competency in topics of child development substance use and provides trauma sensitive and culturally competent care.
- Delivers case management education referral and crisis support as indicated.
- Collaborates with other providers to support the needs of the client/family.
- Works in close collaboration with program or agency staff in event of a clinical crisis.
- Assists families in connecting to community and natural supports.
- Participates in treatment and discharge planning.
- Completes all program and agency required documentation according to program and agency guidelines.
- Documents all client and collateral contacts in client record.
- Supports families in ensuring that youth/families connect and engage in the most appropriate level of care
- Additional responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree in human services required.
Experience: At least two 2 years experience in a mental health setting preferred. For identified positions bilingual capacity may be required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid drivers license.
Training: Will attend all required program trainings.

COMPENSATION RANGE*:
Starting at $18.8631/hr minimum and up commensurate upon experience.
*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of a strict calculation process as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or signon incentives. (Please note for parttime positions this range would be prorated based on hours worked)
