Job Description
What you will do working as a General Laborer:
- Operate a stand grinding wheel and various hand tools to deburr iron castings
- Use physical strength to push and place molds on the pouring deck; use hoists to lift and lower weights onto molds
- Use physical strength to remove hot castings from the conveyor to bin or palletize
- Use power tools
- Set up and operate machinery
- Use a computer to record work activity
- Keep areas clean organized and stocked with supplies
- Locate Read Understand and Follow job process instructions.
- Follow standard safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Consistent attendance and arrives on time
- Adheres to safe work practices
- Produce quality work
- Ability to work alone or in a team
- Ability to understand read and follow process sheets
- Physical Job requirements of General Laborer:
- Must be able to lift push pull and carry moderate weight 2550lbs) frequently
- Must be able to lift push pull and carry heavy weight 50 lbs) sometimes
- Must be able to stand walk and squat continuously for 10 hours
- Must be able to bend/stoop turn/pivot frequently
- 2nd shift: 2p 10p (additional shift premium of $1.00/hr)
