Danville Metal Stamping Co. Inc. is hiring for entrylevel Sheet Metal Workers. Sheet Metal Workers are responsible for operating a variety of hand tools to perform sheet metal assembly forming and fabricating of aerospace engine parts.
Essential functions of the position include:
- Operate hand tools and machinery to assemble form grind and fabricate sheet metal
- Inspect parts and materials during the production process
- Basic computer skills
- Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
- Use calipers micrometers height stands and indicators
- Daily housekeeping/6S duties
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the position include:
- Demonstrated ability with basic math skills
- Prior experience with sheet metal work including assembling grinding or forming is preferred
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
- Strong problem solving skills attention to detail and organizational skills is preferred
- While performing duties of the job the employee is required with or without accommodation to:
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Frequently required to stand and walk and occasionally required to sit climb balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl
- Frequently required to use hands to handle feel and reach
Compensation and Benefits Summary:
- Pay Range: $16.00$17.00/hour
