Job Summary

Are you ready to be an essential part of a dynamic team As a Mill Assistant youll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly! Youll work alongside our skilled Mill Technicians to handle materials ensure everything is stocked and organized maintain a clean and sanitized environment and support large order shipments. Warehouse / Receiving:

• Handles all materials according to company standards and procedures.
• Assists Mill Technicians with incoming and outgoing freight loading and unloading of trucks.
• Retrieves and stores materials in the warehouse as directed using a variety of methods including pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Aids in inventory counting as directed.

Mill / Production:

• Prepares and processes herbs and spices using a variety of tools and machines including cutters powder machines aspirators and manual methods adhering to the established quality control protocols and documentation requirements.

Quality / Safety:

• Adheres to strict food safety procedures and uses proper PPE for assigned tasks.
• Participates in cleaning and sanitizing procedures as well as stocking supplies and set up equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions
• Ability to work in a team environment without close supervision
• Must pay close attention to detail
• Basic math and computer skills are necessary
• Ability to detect issues and troubleshoot
• Participates in all team meetings sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members
• Fosters teamwork and collaboration

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months of related experience or training

Working Conditions

This role requires strong language skills including the ability to read and interpret safety rules procedures and manuals as well as write reports and communicate effectively with customers and employees. Physical requirements include frequent walking bending reaching and standing along with the ability to lift up to 49 lbs.; occasional exposure to outdoor weather and slippery surfaces may occur. Candidates should possess mathematical skills to calculate discounts percentages and measurements as well as apply basic algebra and geometry concepts. Strong reasoning ability is essential for solving practical problems interpreting various instructions and adapting to situations with limited standardization. Lastly excellent interpersonal skills are needed to effectively communicate actively listen and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
