Eurasia Group an independent political risk consultancy is seeking an experienced and motivated analyst to help interpret and predict Southern African political events for financial market and corporate clients. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of South Africa and the broader subregion.
In this position you will assess political risks related to elections as well as a host of policy areas including fiscal policy trade policy and monetary policy. You will have the ability to analyze specific sectors of the South African economy with insight on the political drivers that inform policymaking. You will perform indepth research and will write both succinct forwardlooking analyses and indepth reports for clients. You will frequently brief both financial sector and corporate clients. You will therefore have excellent analytical and presentation (oral and written) skills. You will adhere to tight deadlines write in a clear businessoriented fashion.
An advanced degree in political science or other relevant discipline work experience conducting research on the region and an understanding of the relevance of your research to investors and markets are required. Previous consulting experience and relevant language fluency are preferred.
