Job Description

Our client in the Maritime / Fishing industry is currently looking to employ a Quality Manager (FMCG) in Port Elizabeth (Harbour).

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 and National Diploma in Food Technology.
  • Certificate in Quality Management.
  • 5 years as a senior quality specialist/engineer.
  • Expertise in Food Safety HACCP Microbiology and industry legislation.
  • Knowledge of NRCS inspections external regulators and TRACES system.
  • Valid drivers license and own transport.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct compliance tests for export certification of white fish and other species.
  • Lead HACCP team and drive quality awareness in the plant.
  • Ensure products/services meet customer and legal standards.
  • Implement and monitor the quality management system through audits and compliance checks.
  • Train stakeholders on revised quality and food safety principles.
  • Conduct mock recalls for defect preparation.
  • Oversee annual management reviews and documentation procedures.
  • Ensure medical surveillance of employees handling fish products.
  • Manage team behaviour motivation and performance.
