Job Description
Overview
Community Health Partners is seeking a boardcertified or boardeligible Clinical Geneticist to join our expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive genetic diagnostic services to patients and families in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
The Clinical Geneticist will focus on direct patient care in a clinical setting evaluating neonatal pediatric and adult patients while also contributing to our prenatal diagnostic program. Additionally this position includes collaboration across multiple pediatric and adult specialties and the opportunity to help shape the growth and development of our genetics services. The role also involves the supervision of genetic counselors ensuring seamless coordination of care.
Responsibilities
The Community Health System is a locally owned notforprofit healthcare network based in Fresno California. Community is the regions largest healthcare provider and private employer. We operate a physician residency program with one of the nations top medical schools the University of California San Francisco. Community is home to the only Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive burn center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. We also serve as the areas safety net provider. In fiscal year 2024 Community provided more than $216 million in uncompensated services and programs. In addition to our hospitals our health system includes a vast medical network medical foundation medical group and health plan. The Community Provider Network is a network of provider affiliates and partners that provides our patients access to over 2500 physicians. We also operate four acutecare hospitals Community Regional Medical Center Clovis Community Medical Center Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital and Community Behavioral Health Center as well as several longterm care outpatient and other healthcare facilities. Communitys hospitals are fully accredited by the Joint Commission.
