Job Description

DCY is looking for a Salesforce developer to join a great team with great leadership. The developer will support the development and implementation of Salesforce solutions. This role requires strong salesforce expertise and a deep understanding of Salesforce best practices. The developer will closely work with stakeholders to ensure the Salesforce platform aligns with business objectives. The primary technology for this position is Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts team members and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Assures requirements are thoroughly defined and approved.
  • performs analysis design and develops software applications.
  • Ensure best practices in design coding and development processes are followed.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure highquality deliverables.
  • Able to work on multiple projects and tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Helps the team with design development and deployment activities.
  • Coordinates of unit and system test scripts; coordinates debugging efforts and defect tracking; coordinates support of user acceptance testing; Supports performance and load testing efforts.
  • Writes reviews and coordinates development of application related training materials and software user guides; program and/or application source code documentation (e.g. uses cases inline code comments); departmental standards.
  • Review development lifecycle activities.
  • Stay updated on Salesforce releases features and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce applications.
  • Document technical processes and system configurations.
  • May be placed oncall 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
  • Required to carry and respond to pager/cellular phone as assigned.
  • Travel required as needed. Must provide own transportation or in order to operate a state vehicle you must have a valid drivers license.

Skill required:

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform preferably Service cloud)
  • Proficiency in Apex Visualforce Lightning Components and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Experience with Omni Studio.
  • Experience with integration tools (e.g. MuleSoft Informatica) and APIs.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices CI/CD (Flosum/ Copado etc. and version control systems.
  • Understanding of Salesforces data model and how and when to create custom objects junction objects and other model items.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data tools and ETL tools.
  • Experience with software development principles and methods for design development testing and implementation of new or modified software;
  • Excellent problemsolving and communication skills and attention to detail.

Supplemental Information:

Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be the minimum salary of the salary range 35 (step 1 currently $38.84 per hour) associated with this position.

DCYs core hours of operation are MondayFriday from 8:00am to 5:00pm however daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across DCY divisions. Employees may begin as early as 7:00am and as late as 9:00am based on supervisory approval. This position performs work onsite daily at DCYs office space.

All answers to the supplemental questions must be supported by the work experience/education provided on your civil service application. Attachments will not be considered as part of your application.

Travel required as needed. Must provide own transportation or in order to operate a state vehicle you must have a valid drivers license.

Proficiency Instruments/Assessments may be required for this position; Applicant must demonstrate proficiency with a passing score to move on to the structured interview portion. Regardless of a passing or failing score all results will be maintained for 6 months. Applicant with a passing score will be retained and utilized this 6month period. Applicant with a failing score in the same classification may not retake the same selection assessment for this 6month period.
