Job Description

Responsibilities

Your Role:

  • Provides human resource (HR)related services and information (e.g. processing requirements) to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) colleagues regarding military and educational leaves of absence family and medical leave (FML) and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA)
    accommodations. Communicates with all parties.
  • Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations. Approves or denies leave requests.
  • Communicates with TMH leaders and staff members regarding matters related to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) the ADA other leaves of absence and TMH colleague policies and procedures.
  • Interfaces with TMH leaders healthcare providers attorneys HR professionals TMH colleagues and others.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws regulatory guidelines and TMH policies and procedures.
  • Serves as the principal point of contact for all FMLA and ADArelated issues.

Reports To:

  • Executive Director/HR Human Resource Services

Supervises:

  • None

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelors degree in health care management or human resources management

Experience:

  • One 1 year of experience in FML workers compensation administration leave administration or HR support.
  • NOTE: Human Resources may accept relevant applicable postsecondary education in lieu of the minimum required experience on a 1year:1year basis.

Preferred Experience:

  • Two 2 to five 5 years of professional HR or legal experience in a health care setting.
  • Exposure to the FMLA workers compensation claims ADA accommodations and various types of leave.
  • Uptodate knowledge of leave of absence laws regulations and policies.
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High degree of accuracy in work performed.

  • None
