The Quality Control Lead manages the daily activities of quality control testing and reporting. The position manages the Quality Control team and works closely with fabrication personnel to provide timely quality feedback as we ensure that the product moves swiftly through the QC and Test process for an ontime delivery to the customer.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure products meet required Manufacturing Specifications Operating Procedures Quality Procedures and customer specification.
Assist with development of quality procedures and SOPs.
Perform root cause analysis to help identify and address issues that are causing quality concerns.
Oversee quality control testing. Review results and create appropriate reports.
Review and document nonconforming material clearly and accurately.
Learn and understand all aspects of products and manufacturing specifications and be able to provide answers to technical questions.
Regularly review and remain current on Operating Procedures Quality Procedures and Manufacturing Specifications regarding the production process.
Review and maintain quality records and communicate back to employees when issues are identified.
Work collaboratively with auditors inspectors customers affiliates and other personnel as required assuring product conformance.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist in other departments as needed.
Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience Profile
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in Quality or manufacturing.
Proficient with micrometers calipers and other testing equipment.
Prior experience as a Lead or Supervisor preferred.
Required Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with direct team management and customers.
Must be detailoriented
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Adhere to all safety protocol PPE requirements and procedures
Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment and nonclimate controlled manufacturing facility.
