You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailReporting to the Safe Beds Supervisor the Residential Support Worker will plan organize and provide life skills and residential supports to the clients admitted into the Safe Beds Program. The incumbent will assist and support clients to develop the necessary skills to improve their quality of life and connect to appropriate community resources to assist with stabilizing the presenting mental health and/or addiction crisis while transitioning to more stable housing.
The Safe Beds program operates 7 days per week 24 hours per day. This parttime position provides coverage on a rotational shift on weekends only. See below hours of work for details.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1. Life Skills Admission to Safe Beds
2. Life Skills Activities of Daily Living
3. Community Development
4. Program Evaluation and Development
5. Develops Educational Programs relevant to client group
6. Ensures objectives of program are met
7. Maintains all file management and reporting functions in a comprehensive and timely manner.
8. Participates in community education within scope of the role
EDUCATION & SKILLS:
Hours of Work: Fourteen 14 hours per week consisting of eighthour shifts with a onehour lunch break. This position operates on weekends only. The rotational shift operates from 8:00AM to 4:00PM and 4:00PM to 12:00AM Flexible hours are required to meet service needs.
Salary range: Grade 6 $31.44 $37.20 per hour
PerCollective Agreement
Applicable shift premiums are paid in accordance with the Collective Agreement Article 17.11.
The onehour lunch break is paid on all weekend shifts in recognition that staff may not leave the premises during their break due to health and safety requirements and staffing needs.
