Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing Spares Supply Chain management Field Operations Engineering Product Training and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Our established team in Dresden are recruiting for a Customer Support Engineer to support with current and future installed tools at customer sites.

Your responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for customer service activities associated with updating troubleshooting diagnosing and repairing of highly complex capital equipment atcustomer site.
  • Representing the company to the customer and accountability for customer satisfaction with service.
  • Assuring operational quality of system equipment. Coordinating actions with customers to minimize down time.
  • Preparation of field service reports on customer support activity and providing documentation to other supporting functions on reoccurring problems. May provide assistance to installation engineers in resolving problems.

About you:

  • Certified engineer (Bachelor) or degree from advanced technical school or work experience
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot problems in software and electronics optics mechanical electromechanical and electrooptical systems to address on site customer problems.
  • Excellent customer relation and excellent analytical problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work in a highpressure environment.
  • Ability to work in a team within a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English and German language is desirable
  • Proficiency in MS office tools
  • Experience in the semiconductor or electronic industry is a plus
  • The candidate needs to be a handson type person enthusiastically interested in learning new things and keen on communicating with customers and our internal Division.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required 1020
  • valid car drivers license
