Salary:
PLNU pays its faculty using a payscale based on experience and academic rank. Faculty salaries using this scale for a 2semester appointment range from $69630 to $113916. The actual salary will be based on the experience rank and appointment term of the candidate selected to fill this position.
The Fermanian School of Business (FSB) is seeking candidates for a fulltime tenuretrack teaching position in Accounting. The University is seeking an individual capable of excellent teaching committed to significant involvement with students both within and outside of the classroom and interested in participating in the academic units service learning and/or undergraduate research programs.
The Fermanian School of Business has a strong commitment to quality teaching a passion for building a Christian community with students a tradition of highimpact academic practices and experience in using our skills for collaborative and interdisciplinary work.
Responsibilities begin August 2024 and will include teaching a wide variety of courses in Accounting.

Job Description:
Accounting faculty must have knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques appropriate to effective undergraduate and graduate teaching. They are also expected to have knowledge of ways to instruct manage motivate and evaluate students and do the following:
Provide instruction in the area of undergraduate and graduate accounting in online and facetoface modalities
Successful candidate will work strategically with diverse colleagues students parents and community members.
Engage in personal scholarship and scholarship with students (where possible)
Advise students academically spiritually and socially
Participate in departmental activities and governance
Serve on university faculty committees/working groups and perform other normal faculty duties
Contribute to preparing students for their postgraduate career and finding who they are called to be
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree with intent to pursue a Ph.D. or DBA
Commitment to teaching excellence.
Commitment to ongoing professional activity and scholarship.
An active and maturing faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to PLNU as an intentional Christian community in the Wesleyan tradition. This includes living in agreement with PLNUs Community Life Covenant.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. or DBA earned or in progress in accounting or a closely related area.
Teaching experience at the undergraduate graduate and adult degree completion via multiple modalities
Evidence of effective teaching
Practical business experience
