Provide maintenance service and maintain existing instrumentation related
equipment including environmental control equipment as well as the test
equipment
Work in shop floor and field to adjust and calibrate devices repair and replace
damaged parts
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking cleaning
calibration and repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems
Examine and troubleshoot equipment to diagnose source of problems offer
solutions perform repairs replace broken or defective parts and make
necessary adjustments for operation
Work according to work orders to detect equipment problems
Follow safety rules and permits and interact with production operators to
insure safety operations
Record maintenance activities and ensure communications with production
team about maintenance status
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install conduit 1 to 3 pull in wire #18 to 750 MCM.
Make uniform bends and install conduit according to the National Code and California Electrical Safety Orders and pull in required wire and check.
Make up Frames and Mount Equipment
Must be able to make up standard frames for equipment mount equipment on frames and install for the job.
Connect Motors Starters and Controls
Understand motor connection operation of starters and general control methods.
Install Motors and Electrical Equipment
Handle lifting equipment and understand methods of handling motors and equipment.
Line Work
Climb poles replace 12 KV fuses open air switches and ground lines. Build and remove 12 KV power lines install and maintain photocell equipment flood lights telephone and low voltage secondary lines.
Assemble and Dismantle Electrical Equipment
Must be able to dismantle and assemble electrical equipment.
Check Motor Winding for Short Opens and Grounds
Have the ability to determine faults in motors by using testing equipment.
Operate Shop Tools and Equipment
Properly use all shop tools and equipment.
Take Voltage and Current Tests (troubleshooting)
Must be able to check voltage and take current readings on electrical circuits and clear trouble.
Meg and Check Motors and Starters
Understand megger readings for checking electrical equipment and circuits.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required.
A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience preferred in industrial plant processes.
Excellent reading comprehension and math skills are required.
Strong troubleshooting skills to analyze problems and apply corrective action are essential.
Flexibility in a dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize and organize job activities.
Ability to work safely.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds.
