Job Description
Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester including elementary and intermediate levels of HindiUrdu. Other responsibilities include holding office hours and organizing cultural enrichment activities.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Native or nearnative proficiency in Hindi and/or Urdu and English is required. Experience teaching Hindi and/or Urdu as a second language at the university level (preferably in the U.S. and knowledge of current best practices and technologies is required. Facility with both the Devanagari (Hindi) and Nastaliq (Urdu) writing systems is preferred. Remote employees should have at least two years of experience teaching Hindi and/or Urdu at the university level including some experience teaching remotely.
