Digital Site Merchandiser (Americas Packs)
What will you do
A day in the life of a Digital Site Merchandiser on the Americas Eastpak JanSport and Kipling Commercial Team looks a little like this.
As a Digital Site Merchandiser you will support and execute merchandising strategies across the North America websites for Eastpak JanSport and Kipling. You will obsess improving customer conversion AOV revenue and time on site by presenting products in the right way at the right time and in the right combination. You will collaborate closely across the digital team (merchants content authors retention and operations SMEs) as well as with other departments Product Marketing Merchandising Buyers and Planners to bring products to life and manage their life cycle on site. Weekly and monthly you will support reporting efforts across category and aid in constructing the product performance narrative. The position reports to the Senior Manager Ecommerce (Americas Packs) and is a hybrid position working 3 days a week at our Jersey City New Jersey headquarters and 2 days from home.

- Follow a merchandising calendar and support where pivots are needed inform and update regularly based on changes in inventory and product delivery dates.
- Consistent daily maintenance of the online store executing product merchandising strategies across the suite of tools touching categorization imagery badging product copy pricing bundling filters/facets site search cross sell carousels and size/fit information.
- Leverage the site feed to identify data inconsistencies errors and hygiene tasks.
- Knowledgeable in product offering or within assigned categories: sku count top sellers worst performers full price to markdown mix depth of inventory highest and lowest price points.
- Own assigned brand utilizing site metrics (including product views reviews conversion sell through style and category penetration AOV and AUR) to guide areas of focus.
- Meet with Buyers regularly to update on seasonal and performance.
- Support the retention team through the proof process including vetting featured products and CTA links.
- Develop close relationships with product designers marketers and product merchandisers and buyers to ensure robust product information is ultimately funneled to copywriters.
- Hands on with the seasonal product data preparation to include defining attributes gathering key product information to funnel through team for PDP copy proofing product data ahead of launch dates.
- Execute Navigation updates in CMS.
- Upload seasonal product manage promotion set up and upload price books into platform.
- Proactively input merchandising bug tickets and track progress through to resolution.
- Support updating the merchandising playbook and calendar.
What do you need to succeed
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role there are foundation skills youll need to succeed and excel. Additionally while formal education in a related field is great to have we are most interested in your 2 years of experience in online merchandising and or ecommerce operations.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Knowledge of merchandising backend tooling curious and comfortable working across a tech stack and learning new tools (exposure to Salesforce Commerce Cloud Shopify CMS Monetate Content Square Bloomreach Power Reviews Salsify) will be vital in role.
- Exposure to other eCommerce platforms (i.e. Shopify Magento SAP Hybris).
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Familiar with Google suite (G4 Lookerstudio Smartsheets.
- Is passionate about product digital aware of market trends and consumer tastes.
- Data driven mindset balanced with common sense intuition and a consumer led approach.
- Experience in a project management tool such as Confluence JIRA Wrike Asana.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Can manage workload independently and prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and methodical in approach with a proactive and growth mindset.
- Ability to implement and learn new systems and processes with urgency.
- Results focused.
- Role is based in Jersey City NJ. With the requirement to be in person 3x per week.
